Art Geier grew up in West Los Angeles, he received his degree in Geology at UCLA. While traveling the Pacific Rim of Fire, chasing active volcanoes doing exploration drilling for geothermal energy, he met his wife, a local schoolteacher. In 1990, after adopting a newborn, he began his new career in residential lending.
